Taylor and Michael had the perfect day! The weather was amazing. It was a little windy, but there wasn't a cloud in the sky and the temperature was just right for their outdoor ceremony.
We started the day at Taylor's parents' house where the girls were getting ready. We had fun with the girls while we got shots of the details. Taylor had some sentimental things she wanted with her on her wedding day like her mother's wedding band as "something borrowed," and a garter with a blue sorority pin on it for her "something blue."
The ceremony and reception were at The Ice House in downtown Louisville. When we got there, everything was ready and the decorations were gorgeous! There were fresh flowers everywhere and beautiful white draping above the reception area. They had sweet details, like hand-written signs and local chocolates for favors.
The ceremony was on the roof of The Ice House. They had set up a small pergola with flowers at their "alter." The sun had come out and the wind had died down. Their ceremony was sweet with hugs with their family and a reading from Taylor's childhood friend.
We had a great time at Taylor and Michael's reception. Taylor's father gave a sentimental and funny welcome speech, and the toasts were just a funny and sentimental. And can we just talk about the food from Crushed Ice??!! OMG. It is always so good. I can't get enough of those tiny chicken biscuits.
The dance floor was packed most of the night and Taylor had a dance with her mom, and invited other girls out with their moms. It was so sweet and made us tear up quite a bit. We were able to steal Taylor and Michael away for some photos on the top of a parking garage across the street. Those photos are amazing!!! We had a great time that night and loved being a part of Taylor and Michael's special day.
