Sam and Jake’s wedding was just one big, fun party- just as they wanted it to be.
We started the day with the girls in a suite at the historic Brown Hotel. The suite was beautiful with two bedrooms. And a bathroom with the perfect natural light for detail photos. Yes, I took those detail photos in a bathroom. You’d never know, would you?!
After Sam had gotten in her dress, she took some time to read a sweet letter from Jake. Then we did a reveal with her bridesmaids. They were all so excited to finally see Sam fully dressed for her big day. As we waited for her dad to get in position in the lobby of the hotel for their first look, we took a handful of photos of Sam. She did such a great job and the Brown is a perfect backdrop. The first look with her dad was perfect and he was so happy to see her all put together.
Then I headed over to the Palace to get photographs of the guys. The Palace has a great room for the guys to get ready, complete with a bar and pool table. All of the guys were ready to go and Jake finished the last few details of his outfit when I arrived. The guys did a fun toast then opened presents from Jake while he opened a gift from Sam- a bottle of expensive bourbon. Even though it was early October, the temperature was still high, so we took as little time as needed with the guys outside to get some group photos.
Soon after we headed off to the church for the ceremony, which was beautiful. We took a little time with Sam and Jake for some portraits outside of the church then we went to the Palace for some portraits of them and their bridal party outside with the marquee, which they customized for the wedding.
The Palace is a gorgeous place for a wedding reception. And it’s so cool that they have a large bar, which is used during concerts and other events, that they can use for weddings too. The large reception area has a balcony for extra seating for guests. Sam and Jake’s reception was a big party, complete with a late-night snack from White Castle.
We had a great time with them all day long. We’re so glad they chose us to be a part of their special day!
