Oh, Nashville, how we love you! Jessica and I took our associate photographer (more to come on this), Maggie, with us down to Nashville for Rachel and Ben's engagement session. And we found some really great places to take their photos.
Unfortunately, the weather leading up to Rachel and Ben's session had not cooperated with us. We had been watching the radar like crazy to make sure we wouldn't get caught in the rain for their session. We had even talked about moving it inside if necessary. However, we worked it out that instead of doing the session on Friday evening when there was a high chance of rain, we would do it first thing Saturday morning- no late night in Nashville for us. It was SO worth it to get up at the crack of dawn to meet them out at Radnor Lake State Park, though. There was fog on the water and only a few other people around. It was gorgeous.
After we spent the first half of the session at Radnor Lake State Park, we headed to Percy Warner Park, only a few miles away. This park was more crowded. We parked along the road with the rest of the cars then we headed up to a large set of stairs, built into the hill. It was beautiful and Rachel and Ben were naturals with their photos.
Rachel and Ben are getting married in Louisville, Ben is from Iowa, they met in Philadelphia, and they've also lived in Florida. These kids get around! We had a great time, traipsing through the woods, learning about their love story.
I can't wait for their September wedding at the Ice House in Louisville!
Side note: Tell me Rachel isn't a doppelganger to Daisy Ridley! It's uncanny!!!
