Rachel & Ben | Ice House Wedding

I just love Rachel and Ben. We bonded so quickly at their Nashville engagement session and have been Instagram friends ever since haha. They are both so easy-going, which made their wedding day a breeze.

We met up with Rachel and her two bridesmaids at the Ice House in Louisville. They were tucked away in a room with their makeup artist. Rachel and Ben’s moms were with them too. There were lots of laughs and fun stories being told. As Jessica stayed with the girls, I took the details to the second floor, which is flooded with amazing natural light. When Rachel was ready we took her to the second floor for some photos of her mom getting her into her dress. Rachel’s mom, Pat, is so fun and they have a sweet, close relationship. She was so excited, and just a bit emotional, to get Rachel into her dress.

Ben and the guys got ready in a small room at the Ice House where we met them to get a few photos of them. They were all relaxed and happy, toasting bourbon, as we photographed them. Once the guys were ready, we took them outside for some quick group shots. Then it was time for Rachel and Ben’s first look! They were both so excited to be together. We could see the happiness on their faces with every photo we took.

The ceremony on the rooftop was so personal and full of love. A friend officiated the wedding and even quoted “When Harry Met Sally” one of Jessica’s and my favorite movies. When the ceremony was over, we rounded up the family for some group photos on the roof before we snuck off with Rachel and Ben for some more photos of the two of them.

The food catered by Crushed Ice was amazing as usual and Masters of Music did such a great job keeping the party going all night long. We had so much fun with Rachel and Ben. We can’t wait to take photos for them in the future when they start to build a family of their own!
