Our little Maggie is married!!!!
Maggie has become like a little sister to us, so we were so excited to be photographing her wedding. We started the day with Maggie and the girls at the salon where she works, and where she was getting her hair and makeup done. She was so relaxed and not a bit nervous. After a few shots of the beautifying process (not that she needs any of it), we took the small details and headed over to Blackacre Conservancy where we would stay the rest of the day.
The girls would all be getting ready in the large historic home- the girls in one large room and the guys in what was once a dining room. Jessica and I took the details over to the barn where the reception would be and took the photos there. Maggie loves nature and especially plants and succulents, so the favors for the guests were small pots with a succulent inside. There was a wagon for the gifts, an antique buffet for the cake, and a huge white tent set up behind the barn for the dining tables. The ceremony was set up out in the grass between the barn and the horse pasture under a large tree. It was perfect!
After Maggie's mom got her into her dress, we gave her a moment to show her bridesmaids. They were all smiles and there were tears of joy.
When I went to get Chase for the first look, I could tell he was nervous. He and Maggie are so close and I could see he was ready for them to be together for the rest of the day. We had them stand back to back and took a few photos as they talked to each other. And when they finally turned around Chase let his tears fall then Maggie started to cry then I started to cry (and I'm sure Jessica did too). It was so SWEET!!!
We have known Maggie for a while and we share a lot of the same friends, so it was fun for us to see people we haven't seen in a while. There were so many friends helping them the whole day- a young friend took video, Maggie's cousin played the guitar for the ceremony, and a close friend of Chase's family performed the ceremony. Maggie and her little brother, Jack, have always been very close, so of course, he's been struggling with his big sister getting married. He brought everyone to tears after the ceremony when they were hugging in the barn.
After dinner and a few formalities, we were able to steal Maggie and Chase away for some amazing photos in the golden light of sunset. They both look so happy and relaxed in those photos. And Maggie looked gorgeous in her full bridal gown.
It was such a perfect day, with perfect weather for an outdoor wedding. We are so happy for Maggie and Chase!
