Amanda & Chris | The Olmstead Wedding

Our last wedding of 2017!  And what a great one it was!!!

We had such a great time with Amanda and Chris.  We photographed Amanda's sister, Emily's, wedding in the Summer.  So, we've become familiar with a lot of their friends and family.  They are all so nice and welcoming.

We met up with all of the girls in a suite at the Seelbach Hotel in Louisville.  There was some 90's hip-hop and pop music playing, one of the many reasons we love these girls.  Makeup was happening in the dining area and hair was being done in the bedroom.  (The hairstylist was another one of our brides, Danielle!)  While the girls were finishing up, I photographed the details and Jessica took candid shots of the girls.  Then she headed down to find the guys, and get photos of them getting ready.  Once the girls were ready, we got Amanda into her dress.  She picked the absolute perfect dress for an early December wedding.

Amanda and Chris decided to have a first look in the hotel.  So, we got Chris into place and I brought Amanda down on the elevator.  It was such a sweet moment and they were both so excited to see each other.  You could see all of the stress they had been feeling just melt away once they were together.

After some group photos, we headed to the church for the ceremony.  The ceremony was lovely and simple.  Then after some family photos we headed over to The Olmstead.  The decorations were so beautiful.  The Olmstead is laid out with three different spaces.  The cocktail hour, and then the dancing, take place in one area, the cake and toasts were in the center room, and the dinner was in another room.

Amanda and Chris have such a fun group of friends and family, who kept the dance floor packed the whole night.  Then at the end of the night, they had a spectacular sparkler exit!!!  The front steps of The Olmstead are perfect for those exits.  At the bottom of the steps, there was a kiss then Amanda and Chris eased into a vintage Rolls Royce!!!  It was the perfect ending to the night.  We were so happy to be a part of their day!!!
