Meredith and Hunter are such a sweet laid back couple. We had a great time on their wedding day and with all of their friends and family.
We met up with Meredith and her girls at her maid-of-honor's parents' house. They were all milling about, most of them were ready while Meredith was finishing up her makeup. I took our assistant, Nadia, with me upstairs and we took some photos of the details while Jessica stayed downstairs with the girls to get some shots of them hanging out.
When Meredith was ready, we grabbed a quick robe picture then headed upstairs to get her in her dress. The bedroom where she got ready was her maid-of-honor's bedroom growing up and where she and Meredith had many sleepovers. It was perfect! And large enough for all of the girls to watch her mom get her into her dress.
From the house, we headed to the church, St. Brigid Church, to meet up with the guys. Then waited a little while for the girls on the party bus so we could do the first look. For their first look, Meredith and Hunter wanted to be back-to-back because Meredith hadn't seen Hunter's suit either. So we put Hunter in position, then Meredith. When they turned around, they both had great reactions. Both of their moms and Hunter's dad were able to witness the whole thing as well. It was so sweet.
Before the ceremony even started we were able to get bridal party photos finished and most of the family photos. We even had a little more time to do some more portraits of just Meredith and Hunter. But while we were outside this man was taking photos of the church then he saw us and started taking photos of us! It was so weird. And he didn't just do it once, he kept moving around the church taking photos then he'd take a photo of us, photo of the church, then us and so on. It was so strange!!! I kept giving him the evil eye but I don't think he was picking up what I was throwing down.
Meredith and Hunter's reception was in the Picasso Room at Mellwood Arts Center. We had never photographed this room, so it was nice to have a change of scenery. The decorations were very simple, but lovely. And their food was BBQ!!! We love some BBQ.
After we ate, we took Meredith and Hunter outside for some "golden hour" portraits. Then we headed back in to party. They had a good number of people dancing the whole night. Hunter's sister, Hollice, is so fun and was getting down the whole time. And Hunter and his friends sang along to Piano Man (with a microphone) and it was so fun.
We had a great time with Meredith and Hunter, and are so glad we got to be a part of their special day!
