Melissa and Kyle are one of those easy-going couples that make photographing their wedding so easy. Both are willing to do what is needed in order to get those beautiful classic shots we love.
Their wedding ceremony and reception took place at The Henry Clay in downtown Louisville. This venue does not disappoint. Their ceremony was perfectly intimate in one of the small rooms, with a gorgeous fabric backdrop and gold chiavari chairs. And the flowers by Boston's Floral Couture were to die for.
After a handful of getting ready photos we headed out to the courtyard for a "first look." Side note: The Henry Clay has an awesome courtyard with doors that close, for a private "first look."
Once, Melissa and Kyle were finished with their private moments, we rounded up the large bridal party and got onto the party bus to take photos downtown. They were such a fun group and made our job pretty easy. However, we were very grateful to Ashley from Ashby Weddings for helping us keep the large group together and on track.
The ceremony was beautiful and personal, with mentions of their small dogs. And each person in their bridal party got to read either a scripture or quote that applied to the couple. It was truly beautiful and unique.
Melissa and Kyle had the BEST band Jessica and I have ever heard at a wedding reception. I've never seen a band keep people on the dance floor like The Juice Box Heroes did.
Their day was truly awesome. And we were able to capture some amazing moments.
