Danielle & Zach | Louisville Farm Wedding

Danielle and Zach are such a sweet, fun-loving couple.  Zach works on Underwood Farm outside of Jeffersontown, so this served as the site for the ceremony and reception, and for part of their engagement session.

We started our day at the home of one of our previous brides, Alex.  She and her husband live right across the street from the Underwood Farm and her cousin is good friends with Danielle.  This was so great to be in a place we've shot before.  And it was awesome to see Alex and her cousin, Elizabeth, again. Soon after we got there, the bridesmaids got into their adorable two-piece outfits then Danielle got into her dress.  We lined the bridesmaids up outside and had a fantastic reveal of Danielle in her dress.

Once we got all of the girls loaded up, we headed down the road to another home, the home of Mr. Underwood, Zach's boss and the officiant.  There is a pond out front with a lovely weeping willow tree.  This is where we did a sweet "first look" with Danielle's dad.  It was such a nice moment!  After we got some photos of Danielle and the bridesmaids, I headed over to the farm with them while Jessica stayed at the house to get photos of the guys.

The ceremony was so perfect and sincere, being officiated by someone who means so much to Danielle and Zach.  There were tears and there were laughs.

After the ceremony, we rounded up the family to start photos.  But the weather had other ideas.  It started to sprinkle, so we headed into the barn.  Then it stopped so we went out.  But then it started again, and the clouds decided to give us all they had.  Thankfully, the family photos were done, but we still had to get bridal party shots.  And of course, as the rain was pelting the barn, I remembered I had put our equipment against the side of the tent inside.  So, I had to trudge through the downpour to check on our stuff.  Even with an umbrella, I got soaked.  Equipment was fine.  Ha!  It was an adventure.  But we made it work!

One of our favorite parts of the reception, were the toasts.  Danielle's older sister, Austin, was her maid-of-honor and gave such a heartfelt speech about her relationship with her sister.  Those get us every time.  Jessica and I were both crying.

Their reception was so much fun with a packed dance floor all night.  And there was even an unforgettable Michael Jackson request with a guest singing his heart out in the middle of the dance floor.  There was even a bonfire at the end of the night with s'mores!

We had such a great time with Danielle and Zach and loved being a part of their special day!
